    Connie Duglin linens operates out of a 100,000 sf building and present inventory they have about 10.5 million cubic yards of piece goods in their warehouse. Connie Duglin Linens has a very vast inventory to say the least. The inventory is always growing. They moved into a new building about 2014 to accommodate all the new linens and trends that continue to evolve. They have 18 offices throughout the USA. Randy runs the Columbus office.
  2. What should someone expect to spend on linen rental?
    An event can very vastly depending on the quantity and quality of linens needed. It can range from a couple hundred dollars to several thousands depending on the event. The nice thing about Connie Duglin is that they do not have minimum orders. They have shipped as few as one tablecloth if that is what is needed. The first step is to find out what the brides colors are, they want to know what they like and what the brides vision is. Once that is established they will bring out the swatch binder and go to the website. They use the website has a handy tool to help focus down to the colors and style and they put the wedding together virtually. They also determine their budget at this time to make sure that is met as well. The poly-poplines are most affordable they are 5% cotton 95% polyester, they are offered in 59 different colors. They do anything from a damask, a pin tuck, a crushed, a crinkles taffeta, shear overlays�¢ï¿½�¦its almost endless with Connie Duglin Linens.
  3. What is the deposit and when does it need to be paid in full?
    The deposit with a retail client, either a wedding or event, is 50% down with the balance due three weeks before the event ships. If the count changes two weeks before the event ships Connie Duglin Linens will refund the client the difference. They do this because on any given week they are doing about 5 thousand events per week, so if they can get concrete numbers in advance of the event it saves them time to offer the refund. It effectively speeds up the process and allows them greater lead times which keeps everyones costs down. It also allows them to get the linens out in a timely manner.
  4. Are there any good and creative ways of keeping my linen budget in line?
    Often the best way to rent linens is by grouping the linens in packages. Connie Duglins does offer package pricing but pricing is not included on the website. The retail client will need to contact Connie Duglin Linens to get specific prices, the primary reason for this is that competitors are constantly trying to figure out what they are doing and how they do it. They just do not provide published pricing on their websites. The client can either stop in and see them or call them on the phone.
  5. Are there separate fees for delivery and pick up of linens?
    Connie Duglins Linens has an exclusive relationship with UPS. All deliveries, when shipped, are done by UPS, so when the client books an event both the shipping and return of the linens is virtually automatic. The typical return ship date is usually the day after the event. The Linens are shipped in black canvass duffel bags with prepaid return labels. After the event you put the linens in a duffel bag, zip the bag shut, UPS will be there the next day pick up the duffel bag and back they go to the address on the shipping label. This service is all included in the price.
  6. Do most customers use the website or do they come to your office?
    It's a little bit of both. It is often the website that gets used in either case, the website is a wonderful tool both in the office or in the home. The client can sit at their desk or catering office and virtually design the event and get an idea of what its going to look like before they make their final decision. They have done site tours where Randy or one of his agents will go to the event location and walk the area and work out the details of the event. More often then not its the website that gets used either in Connie Duglins office, the caterers office, or the clients own home.
  7. What are the current trends in wedding linens?
    Connie Duglin Linens has east coast and west coast vendors that they get their specialty linens from. The USA vendors on the coasts typically are on the leading edge of trends and colors so they make sure the relationships with these vendors is very good. The bulk of what they order comes from over seas, but not all of it.
  8. Do the chair covers come pre-tied?
    A chair cover just slides on the chair but a sash the person has the option of having it pre-tied or not. If they choose to have the sash pre-tied Connie Duglin Linens the clients can request that the sash is pre-tied and they will do that which is very unique. The way they do it is they will go out to the venue and measure the chairs and record it, when someone needs something for that event space they have the measurements on hand and they pre-tie them.
  9. What happens if the linens get stained or damaged during our use?
    Normally on any given week Connie Duglin Linens will do 40,000 lbs of laundry per day. When it comes to stains they use professional chemicals to remove stains from their linens. Its very little they can not get out of their fabric. When it comes to damage, things happen, sometimes things get ripped or torn or burnt or cut. The cost of replacement is typically 4 to 5 times the cost of the rental. The client will receive a damaged item invoice in this case.
  10. What other products do you offer beyond linens?
    Connie Duglin Linens does not do hardwoods or lighting or glassware or anything else. They are strictly a speciality linen company. They can pretty much cover any table or chair that anyone can think of. In most cases Connie Duglin Linens has a much greater inventory and much greater variety then most other places.
  11. Do you have referrals?
    Randy is very big about relationships with both his retail customer as well as his venue clients. If the client knows that the product will be delivered on time and accurately every time then the relationship becomes a lot easier. People trust Connie Duglin because they know they will deliver on time and accurately. If they say they are going to be some where they are there. In addition they offer a quality product.
